Hi all,
As you may know, I entered a poem in the “Pink Ribbon Blues Poetry Jam” last month. The winners have been announced and I am happy to report that my poem came in second place! The top three winners get a donation made in their name to the cancer-related organization of their choosing and a signed copy of “Pink Ribbon Blues”, by Gayle Sullik. Pink Ribbon Blues will donate $50.00 in my name to Breast Cancer Angels ! Hooray and thank you Pink Ribbon Blues!
Breast Cancer Angels is a wonderful organization. They are run completely by volunteers. In fact, their director, Faye Deitiker (a breast cancer survivor and the founder of this wonderful organization) does not take any salary. An all volunteer breast cancer organization . . . wow, how about that?
Here was my submission:
“A Snarky Limerick” by Cancerfree2b
There once was a disease that killed many
But, then big pink cured it with money
Oh, wait that’s not true,
It still kills me and you
Does big pink think me a big dummy?
Thank you all who voted, I am very happy that Breast Cancer Angels will receive a donation!
