Hello all,
Well, my surgery is officially postponed. I do not yet have a new surgery date. But, the plan is to wait about 5 or 6 weeks. I need time to get physically stronger and to get my head around the surgery. Part of getting my head around it is to see another reconstructive surgeon so that I can get another opinion.
I saw my surgeon this past Thursday. Originally, this meeting was a pre-op meeting. As a result, I was given all of the pre-op forms waivers, releases to sign. That was an eye opener. Let’s just say it underscored my need for a second opinion and . . . I know that I made the right decision in postponing my surgery.
Still no test results.

Hi, Lisa. I know you liked Dr. Z, so I’m sorry that you now feel a second opinion is in order. Still, it’s never a bad idea, no matter how much you like and trust a particular doctor, to see what someone else has to say.

Thank you. I do like her, still like her 🙂
But, I think it is important to get another opinion. I think she is a very skilled surgeon. I have seen her work, it is pretty amazing. I just need to have more information. And, I need to get physically stronger too. I have been really tired lately and need to get myself in better shape physically before i have another surgery. At least that is how I feel.
Would love to talk to you/see you sometime soon. Hey, how about a “non-cancer-related/treatment-related outing”? We could go to Super Mex again 🙂
